Come and join us in central Paris next week…at a farm!

Ferme à Paris (Farm in Paris) is a two-day event involving a market, documentaries, debates, music, animals and meetings with farmers and organisations that campaign for a green, fair and local CAP! It is being organised by ARC2020, La Confédération paysanne and PAC2013. 

When: Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1st
Where: Place Stalingrad, Paris 19ème

The Farmers’ market: 50 producers from all over France will display their produces to help you discover the gastronomic palette of peasant agriculture.
The Farmers’ picnics: On Friday and Saturday afternoon people will gather by the canal to eat products directly purchased from the farmers’ market.
The Educational farm: cows, goats, pigs, poultry and sheep in central Paris with regular milking sessions. On Friday at 15:30 and Saturday at 11:30 our sheep will get a haircut!

The Garden Farm: a vegetable garden and orchard that will host: A workshop on how to make garden trays with water tanks on Saturday from 11 – 15:00. A Seed Exchange on Saturday at 16:30 – so bring your seeds and exchange them! 

The NGO village: learn about and meet some of the people and groups that are campaigning for good food and good farming practices. These include ARC2020, Friends of the Confédération Paysanne, Greenpeace, the Nicolas Hulot Fondation, Agir pour l’Environnement, AMAP Ile-de-France, la Ruche qui dit oui, les Vergers Urbains, etc.

The Photo Exhibition: “Livestock farmers, food security and climate change” Looking at peasant and family farming in Madagascar and Senegal.

Disco Soups: this increasing famous action again food waste will take place late Friday afternoon at Place de la Bourse and Sunday at the Bastille.
