Eating City Summer Campus: Apply today

ARC2020 signatory Eating City is organising a summer campus for twenty eight young people male and female, aged 30 or younger. The event, taking place in France,  will commence on the evening of Sunday July 28 and end on Saturday August 3. Courses will be given by European experts on sustainable food working in universities, companies, local authorities and civil society.

Eight half-day sessions will be on different themes ranging from: rural development, organic agriculture, renewable energy, environmental impacts, public  procurement, public food service and catering and urban planning. There will be a programme of recreational activities and discussions during the evenings.

By June 30th the complete program of the summer campus will be published on the website www.eatingcity.org

Interested people should send a letter of motivation to Isabelle Lacourt no later than June 21st 2013 at the following address: info@eatingcity.org. 

This letter must include a brief personal presentation describing your actual engagement with sustainable food and your reasons for wishing to attend the Eating City summer campus.

Twenty grants up to €350 to reimburse travel expenses are available, and will be allocated to the first twenty people to request places at the Summer Campus. Accommodation and food are free.

Applications from Poland, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lux, Greece, Hungary, Ireland and Romania are particularly encouraged.
