On April 17th 2012, the European Court of Auditors issued a press release regarding their official opinion on the EU Commission’s legislative proposals for the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.
The opinion was adopted by the Court of Auditors in Luxembourg on March 8th 2012.
The press release (English, French) highlights the concern that the policy proposals remain too complex. It also suggests that the effectiveness of the reforms rest on the clarity of the ‘implementing regulations’ that are introduced.
