There is a lot of room for improvement in the current food system, so much so that fighting for change can really bring you down. While it’s important to take the time to look around and see what the problems are, getting familiar for example with the potential dangers of antimicrobial resistance in farm animals, or feeling frustrated on behalf of struggling campaigns, we also see value in focusing on the positive, and not forgetting what it is we are working towards.
The Confédération paysanne, an ARC member and french union of small and medium sustainable farmers, has put together a video that outlines where we are as well as where we could be. Watch ‘On the Road’, below (in French, with English subtitles) for a reminder of why a better CAP really matters.
